Welcome to Nakshanjali. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Nakshanjali website, mobile applications, and related services (together, the "Service"). By creating an account, accessing any part of the Service, or receiving any reading from us, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy, which are incorporated by reference.

1.2 Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By using the Service you confirm that you are 18 or older and legally capable of entering into a binding contract under Indian law.

The Service is intended for individual, personal use. You may not create an account on behalf of another person without their explicit consent.

1.3 What the Service provides

Nakshanjali offers Vedic astrology content and readings generated by software that follows classical Vedic rules. The Service includes:

  • Free features: A birth chart (kundli), daily horoscope, transit summaries, and general educational content.
  • One-off reports: Detailed written readings on specific themes (career, relationships, money, health, education, compatibility), priced in Indian Rupees between ₹299 and ₹349 per report.
  • Premium subscription: Unlimited reports and additional daily insights, priced at ₹99 per month or ₹899 per year.

Prices are subject to change. Any change to a subscription price will be notified before it takes effect and will not apply to your current billing period.

1.4 Your account

To access most paid features, you must create an account. You may sign in with Google or, in future, with your phone number.

You are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate birth details. All readings are generated from the date, time, and place of birth you provide. Inaccurate inputs produce inaccurate readings.
  • Keeping your account credentials secure.
  • Any activity that takes place through your account.

You must not create multiple accounts to abuse free credits, promotions, or refunds.

1.5 Your birth details

Your birth details (date, time, place of birth, and optionally your gender and name) are sensitive personal data. We treat them accordingly. See our Privacy Policy for full detail on how we store, use, and protect this information.

By providing your birth details, you grant us a limited licence to use them solely to calculate your chart and generate readings for you.

1.6 Payments

Payments are processed by Razorpay. When you make a payment, you agree to Razorpay's terms as well as ours.

All prices are in Indian Rupees and include applicable Indian taxes unless stated otherwise. For international customers, your bank or card issuer may apply currency conversion charges over which we have no control.

For subscriptions, your payment method will be charged automatically at the start of each billing period (monthly or yearly, as chosen) unless you cancel before renewal. You can cancel at any time from your account settings.

1.7 Refunds

Our Refund Policy is available at /refund and forms part of these Terms. In summary: one-off reports are refundable within seven days of purchase if you have genuine concerns; subscriptions can be cancelled at any time and access continues until the end of the paid period.

1.8 Intellectual property

All content on the Service — including the software, chart calculations, written interpretations, images, and text — is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by Indian and international intellectual property laws.

You may view and use your own readings for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not:

  • Copy, reproduce, or resell any part of the Service or its content.
  • Scrape or systematically extract content from the Service.
  • Use our content to train any machine learning model without our written permission.
  • Remove any copyright, trademark, or attribution notice.

The name "Nakshanjali," our logo, and the phrase sacchi shraddha aur prem se bana are our trademarks and may not be used without permission.

1.9 Prohibited use

You agree not to:

  • Provide false birth details knowingly, including on behalf of others without their consent.
  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in a way that violates the rights of any third party.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service, other user accounts, or our infrastructure.
  • Introduce any virus, malware, or other harmful code to the Service.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to derive our source code, calculation algorithms, or interpretation logic.
  • Impersonate any person or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.

We may suspend or terminate your account if we reasonably believe you have breached these rules.

1.10 Disclaimer

Nakshanjali offers astrology as a guide for self-understanding and reflection. It is not a substitute for professional medical, legal, financial, psychological, or any other qualified advice. We do not claim to predict the future with certainty. Every choice you make in your life is your own.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we make no warranties — express or implied — about the accuracy, completeness, or fitness of any reading, chart, or content for any particular purpose.

You should not act, or refrain from acting, on the basis of any content from the Service in matters of health, finance, employment, relationships, or law without seeking appropriate professional advice.

1.11 Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Indian law, we will not be liable for:

  • Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary loss.
  • Any loss of profit, revenue, business, opportunity, goodwill, or data.
  • Any decisions you make based on the content of any reading.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the amount you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or ₹5,000, whichever is greater.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under Indian law, including under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.

1.12 Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claim, loss, liability, or expense — including reasonable legal fees — arising out of your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Service, or your violation of any law or third-party right.

1.13 Termination

You may close your account at any time from Settings.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if:

  • You breach these Terms.
  • We are required to by law.
  • We stop providing the Service (with reasonable notice where possible).

On termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately. Clauses that by their nature should survive termination (such as intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law) will continue to apply.

1.14 Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or an in-app notice at least seven days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date of the updated Terms means you accept them.

1.15 Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to Section 1.16, the courts at Faridabad, Haryana will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the Service.

Before starting any legal proceeding, you agree to first contact us at nakshanjali.official@gmail.com so we can try to resolve the issue informally within thirty days.
